The new season is finally here. AC Milan vs Udinese will be the opening match of Serie A 2022/23. The Rossoneri will host Udinese in front of more than 70 thousand fans at San Siro. A record number of attendees for an opening match that demonstrates the overwhelming support of the Red and Black fans for their club.
Stefano Pioli has already chosen the starting eleven for AC Milan vs Udinese. The Italian coach will deploy the same back line that did great for the majority of last season. Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu will form the central duo while Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria will complete the defence. Mike Maignan will protect the goal.
Sandro Tonali will not be available for Milan vs Udinese. The Italian midfielder suffered an injury in the last friendly match so he will be out for probably one week. Rade Krunic will stat from the first minute alongside Ismael Bennacer. Aldi and Pobega will have to wait for their chance in the second half.
Pioli will reward Junior Messias for his excellent pre-season form. The Brazilian winger will start on the right with Rafael Leao on the opposite flank. Brahim Diaz will be in support of the centre forward who will be Ante Rebic. Olivier Giroud had a muscular problem in recent days so Pioli doesn’t want to risk the Frenchman from the start.
